August 1, 2007 - SigmaTEK announces the latest enhancement in automation software for SigmaNEST users. SigmaNEST, the leading automatic nesting and NC software for laser machines has added an additional program to its already extensive line of automation software. Companies can utilize SigmaNEST SimGenie LMS™ to provide flexible and intelligent control for material tower systems for automatic part production thus allowing for a "lights out" operation.

SigmaNEST posted CAD/CAM programs seamlessly integrate with SimGenie. The intelligent interface optimizes machine efficiency and material utilization by comparing programs, scheduling accordingly, and producing time calculations for program completion. Color coded indicators assist machine operators by revealing each program’s status allowing for real-time progress reporting and recovery. SimGenie also interacts with operators when an error has occurred in order to determine the completion of an interrupted process. Sheet inventory is also tracked with SimGenie which will alert operators to problems with supply. Any resulting changes or other on-the-fly modifications made to the schedule are easily accommodated by the system.

SigmaTEK also offers SimTrans, a MRP integration component; Machine Console, to optimize material usage on a work order basis; and Color Offload, which is a real-time application to relay completion and identify faulty parts to be immediately sent via a network to the SigmaNEST programmer.
